I’M SPEECHLESS. Well, maybe not because I always seem to have something to say. But, guess what? I was nominated on November 6th for the Real Neat Blog Award by none other than the lovely legendary Lynn! He’s a constant light for me to follow on my blogging journey as I admire the way he constructs his sentences and posts in general. One of my recent favorites of his is his short story called Samurai School for Girls. If you haven’t checked it out yet, please do. It’s his own rendition of a parody, pointing out as many tropes as he could within a certain amount of chapters. It’s such a fun read and I greatly appreciate his style. I read it as soon as I finished binging his character analysis for the High School of the Dead characters (*hint: check that out, too; here’s the main portion of that Highschool of the Dead month that he did).
Well, shall we begin?
So, what are the rules?
- Display the logo.
- Thank the blogger for the award.
- Answer the questions from the one who nominated you.
- Nominate 7 to 10 bloggers.
- Ask them 7 questions.
Before I begin, I must advise that as a rule of thumb, I will only be picking things from anime/manga I have watched/read. I don’t think it’s right to pick from ones I haven’t because how familiar could I really be with them, you know? Anyway, enjoy!
You will need three anime roommates. Who are they?
The internal struggle that I’m having right now on trying to not fill the house up with my favorite characters is making me slowly die on the inside. But, some of them would probably not be very good roommates and would ultimately kill each other, no doubt. So, I decided to be more practical about this.
I decided to go with three I think I would love to live with.
Emiya – Is the gif not enough reason why? I have yet to watch Food Wars! (yes, I know I should be ashamed of myself), so I couldn’t really pick anyone from there. The entire time I watched Fate/Cooking, I was drooling whenever Emiya made everyone a delicious meal. I could practically smell it after he placed it on the table. He’d be a wonderful asset to my home.
Takeo – Honestly, he just entertains me a lot. He’s always so funny, over-the-top, and unpredictable about the way he lives life. Plus, he’d be one hell of a motivator and best friend. Anddd I guess he’s not such a bad person to have around if I’m ever feeling scared or like I’m in danger. I can guarantee that no one would ever try to break into our house with Takeo around.
Kenma – I would need a gaming buddy to live with me, and who better than the cinnamon roll of the Nekoma Team? When we aren’t gaming together, we can just go outside and play some volleyball, which I used to play quite a lot of back in grade school and high school. He’d be the best person to have fun with either indoors or out.
You can have one anime pet. What is it?
Anpu from Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan. He’s literally me in cat form. He’s annoying, obnoxious, loud, and needy. Okay… maybe I’m not that bad, but I can be just as annoying and needy as he can. He also can’t properly ask for help to save his life as you can all see from the gif above and if that doesn’t accurately represent me years ago, then I don’t know what does. I think Anpu and I would get along divinely.
You can have an anime vehicle to get around with. Which one?
Does the little cloud thing Goku rides on count? Because, then, yes. I sure as hell hope I have a pure soul because I would love to take this little thing everywhere! It’s fast, comes immediately whenever you call it, and seems to have its own personality at times. It would also help me save on gas and would probably get me to work on-time more often, so that’d be a plus.
You will receive an anime robot to help around the house. Who is it?
Tres “Gunslinger” Iqus from Trinity Blood. Can I ask for a more loyal and badass robot? His quirky remarks are always so fun to listen to because they can be so awkward, but I don’t care. He’s an ace shooter who doesn’t know what giving up means. If he’s loyal to you, he will go to the ends of the world to protect and serve you. That sounds like a sweet deal to me.
You will receive a new wardrobe. Which anime character will you dress like?
Tsukiyama Shuu from Tokyo Ghoul. Yes, I know he’s kind of bat sh*t crazy, but holy hell does he dress well. Whether you classify yourself as a man, woman, or anything else in between, you can’t tell me you wouldn’t look good in his clothes. He’s also so stylish and cool. Well, apart from later on in the story, but you get what I mean.
For protection, you can select any anime weapon or ability. Which one?
Oh, this is easy. Itachi Uchiha’s Susanoo, hands-down. I know many people would prefer to have Madara’s Ultimate Susanoo instead, but there’s a reason why I would choose Itachi’s over his. Actually, there are two reasons: The Yata Mirror and the Totsuka Blade. There’s a reason why Zetsu says during Itachi’s fight with Sasuke that Itachi is practically invincible, and that’s because of the items in the possession of his Susanoo. In the one hand, he holds the Yata Mirror. This is a mirror that holds no physical form and that can deflect anything. It’s better at defense than Gaara’s sand. In the other hand, he holds the Totsuka Blade, a part of the Kusanagi Blade that Orochimaru had spent a majority of his life searching for. The blade is imbued with a sealing jutsu that forces anyone it touches into an eternal genjutsu world of drunken dream and seals that person away for eternity. With these two items in hand, no one can ever touch anyone that takes shelter inside of this Susanoo. Also, please disregard how utterly obsessed I sound with Itachi/the Uchiha, because you’d be totally right if that’s what you’re thinking.
And lastly. You can have your house/apartment in any anime world. Which one?
Pokémon!!! No competition. I mean, come on, who wouldn’t want to be a Pokémon trainer? That has been my lifelong dream for as long as I can remember. I’ve been playing the games and watching the anime since I was old enough to grasp anything both physically and mentally. Plus, I might sound a bit cocky, but I know I’d be one hell of a Pokémon trainer *doesn’t attempt to disguise smug look on face*
*drum roll* And the nominees are…
- My Yami Shibai buddy, Anime Madhouse
- Otaku Orbit
- Reasons to Anime
- Cute Boys Central
- Secluded Observation
- I Watched An Anime
I’m fascinated by how Lynn put his questions together, and, as an aspiring author myself, I’ve decided to follow in his wonderful footsteps and create a story of my own.
So, you’ve been hit by the infamous truck-kun. You are now in a different world! (Didn’t see that coming, did ya?). You’re now forced to make some choices prior to starting your journey. But, be warned, once chosen, they cannot be undone. Play at your own risk.
1.) What class/role would you choose?
2.) What ability or weapon would be your go-to?
3.) Pick two companions to have with you from any form of entertainment.
4.) What is an unexpected talent you have that’ll help you in your journey?
5.) What character would you choose as your mentor/sensei?
6.) What stat would you consider to be your highest (strength, intelligence, stamina/endurance, luck, charisma, etc.), and what one is your weakest?
7.) And finally, what’s you’re ultimate goal/mission in this new world?
I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s answers (or whoever decides to participate, of course). See y’all next time!
