Anime Commentary Review

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – Episode 15: To Be A Hero

Random Commentary:

  • LOL at him playing dead.
  • I love how Wamuu just accepts his fate to ride this minecart with Joseph. He doesn’t even try to get off for a while.
  • Damn, Joseph really knows how to save his own butt.
  • Why does he remind me so much of Gintoki? He’s literally like a more jacked-up version of him.
  • THAT WAS ALL ONE MINUTE?! Freaking anime time, Jesus.
  • Oh, I’m loving these Pillar Men. They’re cool. I’m especially intrigued by Kars. I have a feeling he’ll be my favorite of the three.

Final Thoughts:

Um, uh-oh? How is Joseph going to dig himself out of this hole? The wedding ring idea is pretty cool, but I was a bit grossed out because all I could think about was how disgusting that lip and nose ring must smell. Does Joseph have to put those in his mouth, or is there like a little, tiny vial inside of them that holds the antidote? Because if it’s the former, then ew. No thanks. I’ll gladly accept my fate at that point.

I’m so glad that Joseph actually got a punch in and managed to wound Wamuu’s face because Caesar kind of got his butt whooped. Caesar might have more training in Hamon, but apparently, Joseph has more tricks up his sleeve to let him put up a fight against even the toughest of opponents. And, let me tell you, these Pillar Man don’t look like pushovers either. I’m looking forward to the obvious “big battle” that’ll occur between them and the Pillar Man.

I’m really enjoying Joseph as the protagonist as a whole, as well, because, while Jonathan was super proper and predictable, Joseph is spontaneous and erratic. It’s such a nice change of pace and proves to be extremely entertaining when he’s dealing with people and trying to strategize. I never know what he’s up to or whether or not he even has a damn plan (kind of like Gintoki, like I mentioned, or even Jack Sparrow in a way). It’s always, “What’ll he do now?” whenever he’s in a predicament and I love that I’m feeling like that. It’s not often I get this with shows nowadays.

The abilities of the Pillar Men greatly intrigue me. Those little tornadoes that Wamuu creates were definitely not what I was expecting, but I liked it. It just makes me want to see the abilities of the other two even more. As I mentioned above, I have a feeling that Kars will be my favorite. As soon as the three showed up, I said, “Oh, he’s definitely gonna be my favorite.” I didn’t realize he was the leader of the trio until after I made that declaration, and at that point, I thought, “Of course I’d like the strongest guy.” It’s a common factor with me and I don’t really know why. I promise I don’t just pick the strongest of the bunch on purpose. But, Kars being the leader means one sucky thing: He’ll be the last one to fight and show us his abilities. *sigh* I guess I just have to be patient and continue. Onwards to the next!

I’m a 27-year-old story-telling fan. I enjoy all forms of media, including anime, manga, literature, films, video games, music, and everything else in between. I’ve been writing short stories and novels for myself as a hobby for as long as I can remember. I’ve never considered myself good enough to become published, but I’m hoping to change that someday. I’m a huge sucker for characters, so that’s usually what will make or break a majority of stories for me. Other than that, I spend my days working and trying to pay my bills (how fun, right?).
